WR Biren Ealy
In 2003,
Ealy had some decent numbers, considering no one at QB had good game experience
going into the season. Ealy had 42 catches for 577 yards. That equals 13.7 yards
average for each completion to Ealy.
Biren starts this year as the
proven receiver, and has some good guys, with good talent as well, lining up next
to him. With an injury to begin the year, he will not play in the opener this
year, but might see time as early at the Utah game in the second week. Biren Ealy also has a shot of
making himself a premier receiver in the pac-10. He is the stereotypical WR at
6-2 200lbs, and is a good team player. Last years Receivers Coach, Mose Rison
said of Biren, "He’s a big-time playmaker. The thing that I love about Biren is
he has all the tools to be a special football player in this conference." He
also described him as a big, quick receiver that has many of the attributes that
any coach would look for in a pass catcher.
