Date: August 25rd, 2002
Location: Tucson (In City Limits)

Target: Moon

Tonight the moon was not as bright, it was about 3 days past full. The terminator was right over Mare Crisium (Sea of Crisis). This mare is 376 miles in diameter! One of these nights I am going to make the aperture in the Lens slightly smaller, because even with the ~50mm hole now, it is overwhelmingly bright in the eyepiece. Once I do that I should be able to study it with more ease. Eventually I am going to order a Lunar Filter like the one Orion sells.
